Streaming television platform Plex is adding the National Football League’s (NFL) free, ad-supported content channel NFL Network to its line-up this week
The launch of NFL Channel on the Plex app for phones, tablets and TVs comes two days before the start of the channel’s coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft, which will take place in Detroit from Thursday, April 25 through the weekend.
NFL Channel also includes ancillary NFL programming, including replays of regular-season and playoff games, rebroadcasts of Super Bowl games, documentaries and game clips. During the season, NFL Channel also offers real-time coverage of key plays and scores on Sunday mornings and afternoons.
Plex offers more than 1,000 free, ad-supported streaming channels across its global footprint, including over 600 free channels in the United States alone. The channels offer everything from live sports to news broadcasts, premium movies and marathon TV comedies, dramas, lifestyle, knowledge, home improvement, food and documentaries.
The Plex app is available on most popular phones and tablets, along with connected TV platforms powered by Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV), Apple TV, Samsung, Sony, Vizio, LG and Hisense. Plex apps are also available for game consoles and other smart screen devices.
