Amazon’s free streaming TV platform Fire TV Channels is adding dozens of fact-first content streams from Allen Media Group.
Starting today, Fire TV Channels users can find nearly two dozen local news streams from Allen Media-owned broadcasters across the country, representing digital news organizations in California, Oregon, Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi, Hawaii, Arizona and other states.
The channels are part of the Local Now service, whose content streams are being natively integrated into Fire TV Channels, making them instantly available to anyone who uses a modern Amazon Fire TV device, including Fire TV Sticks and Fire TV Cube.
Additionally, Fire TV Channels will add The Weather Channel en Español, a free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) variant of the flagship Weather Channel, which Allen Media owns.

Local news from the following Allen Media-owned channels will be available to stream within the Fire TV Channel app:
- KADN (Channel 15, Fox) in Lafayette, Louisiana
- KDRV (Channel 12, ABC) in Medford, Oregon
- KEZI (Channel 9, ABC) in Eugene, Oregon
- KHSL (Channel 12, CBS) in Chico, California
- KIMT (Channel 3, CBS) in Mason City, Iowa
- KITV (Channel 4, ABC) in Honolulu
- KVOA (Channel 4, NBC) in Tucson
- KWWL (Channel 7, NBC) in Waterloo, Iowa
- WAAY (Channel 31, ABC) in Huntsville, Alabama
- WAOW (Channel 9, ABC) in Wausaw, Wisconsin
- WEVV (Channel 47, Fox) in Evansville, Indiana
- WFFT (Channel 55, Fox) in Fort Wayne, Indiana
- WJRT (Channel 12, ABC) in Flint, Michigan
- WKOW (Channel 27, ABC) in Madison, Wisconsin
- WLFI (Channel 18, CBS) in West Lafayette, Indiana
- WQOW (Channel 18, ABC) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
- WREX (Channel 13, NBC) in Rockford, Illinois
- WSIL (Channel 3, ABC) in Harrisburg, Illinois

Only local news programming from those stations are available on Fire TV Channels; streamers who want to watch syndicated and network programming (like sports) from their local ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC affiliates will still need a streaming cable-like service, such as DirecTV Stream or Fubo, to access those shows.
Fire TV users can access the Allen Media-owned content streams and others by saying “Play Fire TV Channels” into their Alexa-powered voice remote on supported devices. A dedicated Fire TV Channels tile is also available in the “Your Apps & Channels” menu on most modern Fire TV devices.
Those who use platforms like Roku, Apple TV and Android TV (Google TV) can watch the same Allen Media-owned FAST channels through the free Local Now app.
