AMC Networks says its long-time general counsel Jamie Gallagher will be leaving the company.
In a statement this week, officials at the entertainment company credited Gallagher with helping to lead his the executive team through numerous chapters in its evolution, to include taking AMC Networks public more than a decade ago, the launch of AMC Studios and establishing AMC Plus several years ago.
“We are deeply grateful for Jamie’s exceptional leadership and contributions to AMC Networks,” Kristin Dolan, the CEO of AMC Networks, said in a statement. “He’s been instrumental in helping guide our business through many milestones, as we’ve navigated a dynamic and ever-changing media landscape. I’ll miss his wisdom, good counsel and encyclopedic knowledge derived from his ardent love of books. We wish him all the best as he begins this new chapter.”

Gallagher joined AMC Networks in February 2008. Prior to working at the entertainment company, he served as a general counsel at clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger for a year. He began his legal career at Kelley Drye & Warren in the mid-1908s before moving to American Express in 1988.
