Drivers of select BMW and Mini vehicles can now stream content from Paramount Plus from their in-car entertainment system, the companies announced this week.

The integration of Paramount Plus into vehicles running BMW or Mini Operating System 9 is made possible thanks to a partnership between BMW and Xperi, whose DTS AutoStage product is powered by TiVo and brings seamless access to streaming apps via car dashboards.

Content from Paramount Plus is available through BMW and Mini cars in the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, France, Germany and Italy. Shows and movies are accessible when the vehicle is in park or otherwise stopped; video stops playing when the car is in motion.

“This means they are able to pass the time during charging stops or breaks on longer journeys with premium in-car entertainment,” a spokesperson for BMW said in a statement.

In addition to Paramount Plus content, BMW and Mini vehicles also have access to Paramount-owned streaming service Pluto TV, as well as Bloomberg, TED, Yahoo! and TiVo Plus.
