Media platform Tastemade has released a new cooking app for phones that includes access to more than 12,000 recipes from its team of chefs and food influencers.
The app — appropriately named Tastemade Cooking — is currently only available for Apple iPhones, though Tastemade says an app for Android devices is forthcoming. The app includes the ability to save recipes and how-to videos in a curated, virtual “recipe box,” as well as the ability to create a consolidated grocery list for easy shopping.
“Tastemade boasts a rich and expansive library of incredible recipes and cooking videos that are not only expert-tested, but also uniquely geared toward a new generation of home cooks,” said Tom Bash, the Head of Product at Tastemade. “For quite some time, the number one request from our members has been to make this content available in a native cooking app versus only on the web, and we’re thrilled to deliver on what they crave most and to add even more value to our membership plan. This is just the beginning, and we’re looking forward to bringing our members even more exciting products and updates very soon.”
Tastemade is perhaps best known for its free, ad-supported streaming channels and the subscription-based streaming platform Tastemade Plus, which now has 100,000 subscribers.
Tastemade Cooking is the next evolution of the brand, bringing recipes chefs like Andrew Zimmern (“Wild Game Kitchen”), Kristen Kish, Dale Talde and Frankie Celenza (“Struggle Meals,” “Frankie vs. the Internet”), who are already known to Tastemade streamers. Unlimited access to the Tastemade Cooking app is available with a Tastemade Plus subscription, which costs at $6 per month or $50 per year.
The Tastemade Cooking app is available to download on Apple iPhones by clicking or tapping here.
The Tastemade FAST channel is available on free platforms or the subscription-free tiers of services like Xumo Play, Philo, Sling TV, Plex and others.
