When two National Football League (NFL) games stream live on Netflix this week, the games will be made available for a short period of time on-demand, then they will move to another service for archival purposes.

The games — one involving the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, the other seeing the Baltimore Ravens take on the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. — will include a halftime performance featuring pop sensation Beyoncé, who will appear during the latter of the two events.

Fans who miss Beyoncé’s appearance — or any of the football action — will be able to stream the games and their related entertainment on-demand through Netflix for three hours if the live in the United States, after which the two games will be available via NFL Plus. Outside the U.S., the games will be available through Netflix for 24 hours, then will move to DAZN in most parts of the world.

In addition to NFL Plus, both games will replay in their entirety on NFL Network between late Christmas Day and early December 26, though NFL Network rebroadcasts usually do not include pre-game, post-game and halftime shows.

The two Christmas Day games mark the first time Netflix has offered live football from the NFL, and is the biggest live sports deal forged by the streaming service since it began pursuing those rights a few years ago. Netflix counted more than 282.7 million global streaming subscribers as of the third quarter (Q3) of 2024.
