Nexstar Media Group’s cable news channel NewsNation will provide rolling coverage of the first day of the 119th Congress on Friday.

The coverage will be powered by NewsNation’s sister news outlet The Hill, a political-oriented web publication acquired by Nexstar in 2021.

NewsNation reporters and correspondents will be deployed throughout the U.S. Capitol, including areas around the U.S. House and U.S. Senate chambers. Those reporters include Washington correspondents Kellie Meyer and Joe Khalil, and The Hill reporters Julia Manchester, Mychael Schnell, Emily Brooks, Alexander Bolton, Al Weaver, and Mike Lillis.

Throughout the day, NewsNation will also feature interviews with new and returning members of Congress. A live blog with additional coverage will be available on the NewsNation and The Hill websites.

At 6 p.m. Eastern Time, NewsNation will produce a special edition of its evening news program “The Hill” with newsmakers from both sides of the aisle.

NewsNation is available on most cable TV platforms across the country, and on DirecTV and Dish Network satellite. The channel is also carried on streaming services Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, Fubo, Sling TV, DirecTV via Internet and DirecTV Stream.
