Gray Media has hired Blake Sebo to oversee its two television stations in the Anchorage, Alaska market, the company announced this month.

Sebo comes to Gray Media from Hearst Television, where he served as a sales manager at KHBS (Channel 40) and KHOG-TV (Channel 29), the co-owned ABC affiliates serving the Fort Smith and Fayetteville market of Arkansas. He has spent nearly 20 years in the television broadcasting industry, Gray Media said in a press release; much of his time was in Arkansas, where he entered the TV industry after graduating from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.

Sebo trades the southern comforts of Arkansas for the picturesque landscape of Alaska, where he will oversee the operations of KTUU (Channel 2, NBC) and KYES (Channel 5, CBS), the duopoly in Anchorage.

“I am thrilled to join Alaska’s most-watched media organization and look forward to getting to know the people of Anchorage and continuing our team’s tradition of news excellence and community commitment,” Sebo said in a statement.
