Audi is rolling out an update to its in-car infotainment system that will allow sports fans in a handful of countries to watch live events from streaming service DAZN.

Starting later this month, owners of select Audi car models — the A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron — will be able to watch live sports and related programming from DAZN, with the app available to download from the Audi Application Store.

Sports fans in Germany will be able to watch UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup 2025 matches, along with live American football games from NFL Game Pass. Streamers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region) will also be able to watch UEFA Women’s Champions League and simulcast Saturday and Sunday matches from the Budesliga through the service.

DAZN, Audi, its parent company Volkswagen and technology firm CARIAD have worked together to optimize the sports streaming service to work in Audi’s vehicles, the companies said.

“DAZN has been a leading and driving force for innovation in the global sports industry since our launch in 2016,” Alice Mascia, the CEO of DAZN’s business in the DACH region, said in a statement. “We enable sports fans to watch their favourite sport live wherever they want. Thanks to the development of mobility, the demand for in-car entertainment is also playing an increasingly important role for sports fans worldwide. For this reason, we are delighted to be working with Audi to pioneer this area and bring DAZN into cars with the best live sport.”

“The promising cooperation with the Volkswagen Group and CARIAD represents a further step in our mission to be the ultimate destination for all sports fans,” Mascia concluded.
