Key Points:

  • Gray Media will air 17 Dallas Stars games from Victory Plus across 15 markets in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana during the 2025-26 season.
  • The package includes preseason and regular season matchups, expanding free, over-the-air access for fans outside major metro areas.
  • Executives at Gray and Victory Plus say the deal aligns with efforts to broaden sports reach as regional sports networks continue to decline.

Gray Media has struck a new agreement with sports streaming service Victory Plus to simulcast more than a dozen games from the Dallas Stars across 15 of its broadcast stations in three states.

The deal will make a selection of preseason and regular season games available to hockey fans who live outside of Texas’ major metropolitan areas during the 2025-26 season. A full schedule of matchups will be announced later.

Under the arrangement, Gray stations will carry Stars games in Amarillo, Lubbock, Wichita Falls, Sherman-Ada, Tyler-Longview, Waco-Bryan-College Station, Odessa and Laredo, as well as in Jonesboro, Arkansas. In Louisiana, coverage will extend to Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport.

The partnership builds on Gray’s history of carrying live professional sports across its portfolio of broadcast outlets. In recent years, the company’s local stations have aired NBA, WNBA and MLB events through various rights arrangements.

“We are excited to partner with Victory Plus to bring these games free, over-the-air to fans across Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana,” said Collin Gaston, the Senior Managing Vice President for Gray Media. “These stations have been bringing fans live NBA, WNBA and MLB action, and we know viewers will love also having the NHL’s Stars.”

Victory Plus was launched by A Parent Media Company (APMC) as a free streaming platform focused on live sports. Company executives said the new arrangement with Gray Media fits into its broader strategy of expanding access to professional teams beyond large markets.

“Our commitment to reducing barriers and reaching more fans in communities is at the core of our work and this deal with Gray Media allows us to further that commitment,” said Neil Gruninger, the President and CEO of APMC. “These additional games give fans more ways to follow the Stars and be part of the excitement this season.”

For the Stars, the Gray-Victory Plus deal ensures that fans across smaller and mid-sized markets in three states will have an opportunity to watch select games without a cable or streaming subscription. The broadcasts will be available over-the-air on Gray-owned stations and through the Victory Plus platform.
