The Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) announced Thursday that Brad Seitter will become its next President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Steve Lanzano, who plans to retire at the end of the year after more than a decade leading the trade group.
The announcement came during the annual TVB Executive Summit in New York, where Seitter joined Lanzano on stage to mark the leadership transition. Lanzano has served as TVB’s President and CEO since 2010, guiding the organization through a period of major change in the broadcast industry.
Seitter currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Local and National Business Development; he becomes President and CEO of the organization in January. TVB said Seitter was selected after the group launched a national search for its next top executive.
“I am thrilled that Brad will assume the role as TVB’s President and CEO,” Lanzano said. “Throughout his tenure, Brad has been a staunch advocate for broadcast television, consistently championing its importance and innovation. His dedication and vision have significantly contributed to our success.”
Seitter has spent more than 30 years in broadcast and advertising. At TVB, he has led national business development initiatives that encourage marketers to combine local broadcast and digital media to boost reach and return on investment, a strategy that has redirected millions of ad dollars toward television.
“I’m truly honored and thrilled to take on this role at such an important time in our industry,” Seitter said. “Local broadcast television is a powerful, trusted medium that connects communities, drives results for advertisers, and informs audiences every day.”
