Sinclair will mark America’s 250th anniversary with a sweeping, multi-platform initiative highlighting the nation’s history, culture, and community spirit, the company announced Monday.

The campaign, called “Amazing America 250: From Neighborhood to Nation,” will begin December 13 with special coverage tied to the 2025 Army-Navy football game in Baltimore and continue through July 2026 and beyond. The project will involve Sinclair’s 185 local television stations, digital platforms, podcasts and multicast networks Comet, Charge, Roar and The Nest.

“Amazing America 250 is a reflection of Sinclair’s mission to enrich local lives in every community we serve,” said Chris Ripley, the President and CEO of Sinclair. “From national specials to local stories, from everyday heroes in our neighborhoods to defining moments in our shared history, this campaign honors and celebrates America’s journey.”

Programming will include a national special from “The National Desk – America’s News Now,” spotlighting stories that showcase innovation, civic pride, and cultural achievements. Starting in early 2026, Sinclair stations will carry weekly segments focused on themes such as freedom and democracy, American innovation, natural landmarks, and cultural expression through arts, music, literature, and sports.

Each station will also highlight a local “American Pride” feature each week, telling stories of veterans, families pursuing the American dream, educators shaping future leaders, and communities uniting for shared causes. In addition, local stations will host community town halls under the banner “The Future of America,” focused on civic engagement, youth voices, and emerging technology.

The campaign’s digital extension will include an interactive map of stories from across the country, a timeline of major historical moments, and user-submitted content. Viewers will be encouraged to share their own stories, ranging from family barbecues and neighborhood traditions to acts of service and innovation, which Sinclair may use during its TV and streaming coverage.

Throughout 2026, “Amazing America 250” will tie into national observances including Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Sinclair will also align its programming with official 250th-anniversary events scheduled in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. next year.
