Charter Communications has made good on its promise to bring its regional Spectrum News channels to Comcast’s pay TV customers in several states.

In October, Charter announced it reached an agreement with Comcast to launch three Spectrum News channels on Xfinity TV in Florida, New Jersey and Connecticut.

In Florida, Xfinity TV subscribers can now watch Spectrum News 13 in Orlando or Spectrum Bay News 9 in Tampa, depending on where they live. Customers in the other states can watch Spectrum News NY 1, its regional news channel from New York City.

“Spectrum News’ networks are well-recognized in Tampa Bay and Central Florida for their balanced coverage, accurate real-time weather updates, as well as comprehensive and community-driven reporting,” said Michael Gautreau, the Vice President of Content and News at Spectrum News. “With this larger audience, we’re expanding our coverage to bring more Floridians local news that matters and impacts their daily lives.”

“No one covers New York City like Spectrum News NY 1,” said Sam Singal, the Group Vice President of News and Content at Spectrum News. “What happens here impacts the entire tri-state area, and residents who want to be fully informed turn to NY 1 for our comprehensive and balanced political reporting, and around-the-clock community-driven reporting.”

Both channels offer around-the-clock reporting on local and regional matters, including current events, political news, weather, traffic, sports, lifestyle and business headlines. The channels also offer locally-produced shows like “Political Connections” in Florida and “In Focus with Cheryl Willis” in New York City.

The move comes about a year after Charter began offering Comcast’s customers in California access to Spectrum News 1 from Los Angeles, which allowed them to watch coverage of the wildfires burning in Southern California. The channel remains available to Xfinity TV subscribers across the state.

Charter also operates the national streaming channel Spectrum News Plus (stylized as Spectrum News+) on Xumo Play, Spectrum TV and Xfinity Stream and the Spanish-language network Spectrum Noticias.
