DIRECTV has restored two television stations in Bend, Oregon to its satellite and streaming services after reaching a new carriage agreement covering the outlets.
The stations — KBNZ (Channel 7, CBS) and KOHD (Channel 17, ABC) — have been unavailable to DIRECTV’s satellite and streaming subscribers since November 1, when a contract covering the distribution of the channels on the pay TV provider expired without a new agreement in place.
Zolo Broadcasting, the owner of the two stations, had been holding out for higher distribution fees in exchange for the privilege of DIRECTV offering its stations to satellite and streaming subscribers.
Financial terms of the new agreement were not released, and it is unclear if Zolo backed off its requirement or if DIRECTV agreed to the fee increases.
The channels are still unavailable to Dish Network customers after Zolo engaged in a similar distribution dispute with that provider.
