Xperi has named former Audacy executive Kevin Greenwald as its new Vice President of Broadcast Products and Services, adding a veteran media and advertising executive to its broadcast radio leadership team.
Greenwald will report to Joe D’Angelo, the Senior Vice President of Broadcast Radio and Digital Audio at Xperi, and will oversee strategy and development for the company’s broadcast products and services portfolio, the company said on Thursday.
At Xperi, Greenwald will be responsible for guiding the evolution of products and services designed for radio broadcasters and advertisers, with a focus on innovation, monetization and audience engagement.
The appointment places Greenwald in a key role at the company behind HD Radio, DTS AutoStage and TiVo, as broadcasters continue adapting to changes in advertising, audience measurement and digital audio consumption.
“Kevin’s deep expertise in advertising, data-driven monetization and digital media strategy makes him a tremendous addition to our team,” D’Angelo said in a statement. “As the radio industry continues to transform, Kevin’s leadership will be instrumental in advancing our broadcast solutions, empowering our partners and unlocking new opportunities for growth across the ecosystem.”
The radio trade publication Inside Radio was the first to report on Greenwald’s hiring.
Greenwald joins Xperi after more than five years at Audacy, where he most recently served as the broadcaster’s Senior Vice President and Head of Advertising and Audience Products. He was promoted to that role in April 2024.
During his time at Audacy, Greenwald oversaw advertising product development and campaign measurement initiatives, helping expand the company’s audience data, identity and programmatic advertising capabilities.
He joined Audacy in 2021 as its Vice President of Strategy, Mergers, Acquisitions and Business Development.
Before joining Audacy, Greenwald spent more than a decade at Comcast, where he held a variety of strategic and advertising-focused roles. He departed the company as its Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Advertising Strategy.
His career also includes positions at Time Warner and Warner Music Group. From 2005 to 2011, Greenwald served as a Director at Warner Bros Records in Los Angeles, where he worked on business and strategic initiatives during a period of significant change in the music industry.
