The Nashville Predators will launch a new direct-to-consumer streaming service ahead of the 2026-27 NHL season through a multi-year agreement with DAZN-owned ViewLift, giving fans another way to watch locally carried games, the companies announced this week.

The team-owned streaming platform will offer live games, on-demand replays, highlights and original programming. The Predators said the service will give fans across Tennessee and beyond access to every locally carried Predators game beginning this season.

The app will be available on the web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku TV, Fire TV and Android TV, with additional platforms to be announced later. Pricing and trial details will be released closer to launch.

“This new streaming service will give our fans a direct connection to the team, on their terms,” Bill Wickett, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Nashville Predators, said in a statement. “Smashville is one of the most passionate fan bases in the league, and they deserve the flexibility to watch anytime, anywhere, on whatever device they use most.”

The agreement comes shortly after DAZN completed its acquisition of ViewLift. ViewLift said the addition of the Predators expands its footprint to 18 U.S. professional sports teams and six regional sports networks.

The streaming service will complement the Predators’ new broadcast partnership with Scripps Sports, which will air Predators games this season on “The Spot – Nashville 28.”

“Nashville is a hockey town with one of the most engaged fan bases in the league, and this alliance reflects that,” Viewlift CEO Rick Allen said in a statement. “We’re proud to become the Predators’ streaming partner, giving fans in this market full coverage of the team, no matter how they choose to watch.”

Allen said ViewLift is also working with Scripps Sports on what he described as the company’s fourth NHL team joint distribution effort. Predators games will air on WNPX (Channel 28), branded as “The Spot,” throughout the season.

ViewLift provides streaming technology for sports, media and entertainment brands. Its platform supports live and on-demand video, content management, multi-platform distribution, analytics, viewer engagement and monetization through advertising-supported, subscription, transactional and hybrid models.
