Nexstar Media Group-owned political affairs publication The Hill and cable news outlet NewsNation will bring lawmakers, Trump administration officials and other policymakers together this week for the second annual Hill Nation Summit, the outlets announced on Tuesday.

The summit, scheduled for Wednesday in Washington, will feature interviews and panel discussions with members of President Donald Trump’s administration, congressional leaders from both parties and senior government officials.

Among the administration officials scheduled to participate are Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz.

The congressional lineup includes Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Senator Gary Peters of Michigan, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota, Representative Ted Lieu of California, Representative Brett Guthrie of Kentucky, Representative Jim Himes of Connecticut, Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina and several other members of the House and Senate.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr and Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters are also expected to participate, The Hill and NewsNation said on Tuesday. Discussions will cover topics including artificial intelligence, healthcare, energy policy, immigration, the economy and the nation’s long-term fiscal outlook.

The event also will serve as the public debut of The Hill Insider, the publication’s forthcoming premium digital subscription offering, with attendees receiving a preview of the service and a live recording of the “Whole Hog Politics” podcast.

Bill Sammon, the Senior Vice President of Washington Editorial Content at The Hill, said the event is intended to continue the bipartisan format established during last year’s inaugural summit by bringing together elected officials, policymakers and business leaders for discussions on issues affecting the country.

“We are excited to unveil the lineup for The Hill’s second annual Hill Nation Summit,” Sammon said in a statement on Tuesday. “We look forward to bringing together leading voices across government, business, and policy for a day of thoughtful, nonpartisan conversations on the most pressing issues facing Americans. We want to build on the success of last year’s inaugural event and continue fostering meaningful dialogue in the heart of the nation’s capital.”

The inaugural Hill Nation Summit held last year generated several policy announcements and news developments, including discussions surrounding changes to airport security procedures, The Hill’s parent company Nexstar Media Group said in a press release.
