Nexstar Media Group’s cable news channel NewsNation will examine the impact of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies during a special two-hour town hall airing Tuesday night, the network said in a press release.

“The Future is Now: A NewsNation Town Hall” will air from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Time, with NewsNation host Chris Cuomo moderating the event before a live audience at the channel’s New York City studios.

The special will feature conversations with scientists, technology leaders, journalists and cultural figures about how AI is already affecting work, medicine, travel, space exploration, public safety, personal finance and daily life.

Scheduled guests include astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Prof G Media founder Scott Galloway, “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe, medical futurist Dr. Dan Kraft, longevity researcher Bryan Johnson and Axios Senior AI Reporter Madison Mills.

The broadcast will also include a live demonstration of walking and talking humanoid robots with Toborlife Robot Chief Technology Officer George Ekas.

NewsNation said the town hall will explore whether society is prepared for the AI age, including questions about governance, technology companies and the global effects of automation.

The special will preempt “On Balance with Leland Vittert.” NewsNation will air encore presentations at midnight and 3 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday.
