Gray Media has picked Ronna Steber to lead revenue-generating initiatives as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer, putting her in charge of advertising sales strategy across the company’s local broadcast television stations and digital properties.
In the expanded role, Steber will establish sales best practices, lead new business development initiatives and oversee training programs aimed at supporting local sales teams. She will also continue overseeing select television stations and digital properties, the company confirmed on Tuesday.
Steber previously served as Senior Operating Officer and Senior Managing Vice President at Gray, where the company said she helped drive growth and operational performance across its portfolio.
“Ronna has a proven record of success and a deep understanding of our local markets,” Sandy Breland, Gray’s Chief Operating Officer, said. “Her strategic vision and strong leadership make her the perfect choice to guide our sales teams and turn our greatest opportunities into meaningful revenue growth.”
Steber’s career began in the mid-1990s at Sinclair-owned WDKY (Channel 56, Fox), where she worked for more than two decades.
She moved over to Gray Media to become the General Manager of the company’s Baton Rouge station WAFB (Channel 9, CBS), until moving into her most-recent Senior Vice President role in 2022.
