
Fox Television Stations, the local broadcast subsidiary of Fox Corporation, has named Kevin Blanchette as its new Senior Vice President of Brand & Marketing, giving him oversight of brand strategy, creative and audience growth across the group’s 29 localt stations, online brand Fox Local and streaming channel LiveNow from Fox.
In the role, Blanchette will set groupwide brand and creative strategy while developing multi-platform marketing efforts across broadcast, streaming, social, mobile and web. He will also lead the company’s Creative & Graphic Production Hub and Marketing & Growth teams.
Blanchette will report to Jeff Zellmer, the Executive Vice President of Digital Operations at Fox Television Stations.
“Kevin brings a rare combination of brand-building expertise, creative leadership and a deep understanding of how audiences discover and engage with content across platforms,” Zellmer said in a statement on Wednesday.
Blanchette joins Fox Television Stations from Fremantle, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Communications. There, he led U.S. marketing and communications across scripted and unscripted programming, including “America’s Got Talent,” “The Price is Right” and “Family Feud.”
He also worked on Fremantle’s expansion across free streaming and over-the-top, Internet-connected platforms.
Before Fremantle, Blanchette served as Head of Hulu Originals Marketing, where he led campaigns for the service’s original programming during a period of platform growth. His work included the launch of “The Handmaid’s Tale” and broader efforts focused on subscriber acquisition, engagement and retention.
Earlier in his career, Blanchette spent 11 years at HBO in senior marketing roles, supporting franchises including “Game of Thrones,” “True Blood,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Girls” and “Silicon Valley.”
