Seals Media Company has promoted Allyson “Ally” Meyers to the role of President and Chief Business Officer and appointed John Cobb as its new Senior Vice President of Content Operations, the company announced Wednesday.
Meyers becomes the first person appointed to the role of President in the company’s 43-year history, taking on oversight of its media and entertainment businesses, including the planned relaunches of Tuff TV and MotoWorld Network, Seals Media said in a statement. She will be responsible for operations at Rocky Dog TV and Wilde TV.
Meyers joined Seals Media, also known as Sealsco, last year; she most-recently served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff. Previously, she worked in leadership roles at television stations owned by Fox Corporation, Sinclair and Tribune Broadcasting, the latter of which is now part of Nexstar Media Group.
“Ally’s expertise in media and broadcasting is unparalleled. She has held top leadership positions at Fox and Tribune television stations throughout her stellar career,” Sealsco founder and CEO Lou Seals said in a statement. “I am delighted she is our first ever President.”
The company is bringing back Cobb as Senior Vice President of Content Operations, with responsibility for overseeing the relaunches of Tuff TV and MotoWorld Network. Cobb previously served as Director of Technical Operations at Tuff TV, joining the network when it launched in 2009.
In his new position, Cobb will oversee technical operations for Rocky Dog TV and Wilde TV in addition to his responsibilities involving Tuff TV and MotoWorld Network.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
The leadership changes come as Seals Media prepares to revive Tuff TV and MotoWorld Network while maintaining operations across its existing television properties. The company did not announce specific relaunch dates for either network.
