Echostar’s satellite TV provider Dish Network is launching a new bundle that includes free access to Netflix for two years as part of a customer’s pay TV subscription.

On Wednesday, the company said the free Netflix perk will be available to all new subscribers who purchase an eligible Dish Network plan. Existing customers can take advantage of the offer by renewing their Dish subscription with a two-year commitment.

“Finding something new to love has never been easier,” Gary Schanman, the Executive Vice President and Group President at Dish Video Services, said in a statement. “We’re committed to enhancing our customers’ viewing experience by offering them the best content in the most convenient way possible. Our new Dish and Netflix bundle is a testament to that commitment.”

The new perk brings the ad-supported tier of Netflix to eligible Dish customers for free. Customers can also upgrade to a premium, commercial-free version of Netflix at a discount price. Netflix Standard costs $8.50 per month and Netflix Premium costs $16 per month. The discount prices offset the normal price of Netflix through bill credits that are applied to a Dish customer’s monthly service bill.

Dish is hoping the new Netflix perk will drive interest in its connected set-top boxes, which allow customers to move seamlessly between linear pay TV channels offered over satellite and streaming video platforms, including Netflix.

The Dish Hopper DVR is one such box that allows customers to watch and record live channels, including their local broadcast stations, and access streaming video services like Netflix.
