Discovery executives have decided to close CNN Plus, the ambitious streaming news startup launched less than a month ago.
A strategy being considered would incorporate CNN Plus content into HBO Max while winding down several daily news shows.

A CNN spokesperson said the company was “happy with the launch and its progress after only two weeks.”
CNN Plus is now available to Roku devices nearly two weeks after it launched to the public.
The $6 a month streaming news service is expected to be offered as a bundle with HBO Max down the road, Jason Kilar said.
AT&T’s news-focused streaming service CNN Plus debuted on Tuesday, but without support for Roku and Android TV devices.
Shows by Kate Bolduan, Sara Sidner, Brian Stelter and Anderson Cooper will be among those debuting on CNN Plus.
CNN Plus will not offer a live feed of the namesake cable television channel.
