Haystack TV, a free streaming TV service that aggregates news stories from local and national organizations, has launched a dedicated Super Tuesday channel, the company announced in a press release on Monday.

The channel will collect news stories about elections happening in more than a dozen states, including California, as well as the territory of American Samoa, and include on-the-ground reports from local news partners and analysis from national and international news sources.

Haystack TV viewers are passionate about the news and this election,” Daniel Barreto, Haystack TV’s founder and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “With a dedicated Super Tuesday channel, Haystack offers an easy access point for a comprehensive stream of Decision 2020 Super Tuesday news coverage and political analysis – both on the ground courtesy of our local broadcast partners and national/international perspectives from our news providers around the world.”

A spokesperson for Haystack TV confirmed the new channel would aggregate on-demand clips from local and national content partners, but will occasionally show users an interactive banner when a live event like a concession speech occurs, which will allow users to switch over to the live event if they want to watch it.

The new Super Tuesday channel can be accessed via a web browser by clicking or tapping here.

Haystack TV has agreements with Disney/ABC Television Group, CBS Television Stations, Hearst Television, Gray Television, Cox Media Group and Meredith Corporation, covering more than a hundred local television stations in dozens of media markets across the United States. The company also has agreements with ABC News, CBS News, Bloomberg Television, Cheddar News & Business, Euronews and Newsy to incorporate national news and analysis in the mix.

Haystack TV is best recognized among users for providing hyperlocal news stories tailored to the interests of streaming TV viewers. The ad-supported service allows users to select topics that are of interest to them — topics that include broad subjects like business, technology, science and politics, but also granular subjects like the coronavirus — and then tailors a news feed that mixes clips based on those interests with news stories of importance.

Haystack TV is a free service available on a wide variety of platforms, including Apple’s iOS and Apple TV; Android, including Android TV and the new AT&T TV; Amazon’s Fire TV devices; Roku’s streaming devices and smart TVs; and online via haystack.tv. The service is also available as a built-in option on most Hisense, LG, Samsung and Vizio smart TVs.
