Veteran radio broadcaster Bruce Meyerowitz, better known by his on-air moniker Cousin Brucie, has returned to the airwaves.

The former SiriusXM voice talent has found a new home at New York City’s talk station WABC (770 AM), a radio station that is not unfamiliar to the broadcaster.

Meyerowitz spent more than a decade at WABC starting in 1961, spinning rock and roll classics on the powerhouse radio station that serves audiences across three states.

He was hired last month by John Catsimatidis, a supermarket tycoon turned media mogul who purchased WABC from Cumulus last year.

“I grew up with the guy,” Catsimatidis told the New York Times in a phone interview last month.

Meyerowitz’s first show as Cousin Brucie premiered on Saturday. The show, “Cousin Brucie’s Saturday Night Rock & Roll Party,” features popular music from the 1950s to the 1980s.

The show airs on WABC and streams on www.wabcradio.com every Saturday night at 6 p.m. Eastern Time (3 p.m. Pacific Time).
