T-Mobile announced on Tuesday announced the launch of a new streaming television service that the company says is intend to compete with costly cable and satellite packages.

In a presentation known as an “Un-Carrier” event, T-Mobile said it would re-launch its T-Vision television service introduced last year into a streaming offering with a handful of top-tier channels at rock-bottom prices.

The service will launch to T-Mobile’s post-paid customers on November 1 and become available to T-Mobile pre-paid and Sprint customers at a later date.

At launch, T-Mobile says the new version of T-Vision will offer four different packages of channels:

  • T-Vision Vibe, which consists of 30 channels general entertainment channels for $10 a month.
  • T-Vision Live, which will consist of local, news and sports channels for $40 a month.
  • T-Vision Live Plus, a package that consists of additional sports channels, including regional sports networks from NBC, at $50 a month.
  • T-Vision Live Zone, which is expected to include the NFL RedZone channel, at $60 a month.
  • T-Vision Live Plus, an all-out package comprised of everything T-Mobile is offering for $60 a month.

All of its packages will come with an additional sales tax charge, T-Mobile said. The company said it had distribution agreements with nearly all of the major pay TV programmers, including Disney, Comcast, ViacomCBS, AMC Networks and Hallmark, for its T-Vision service.

In addition to those channels, T-Mobile says T-Vision customers will have access to premium networks Showtime, Starz and Epix at launch, with other premium networks promised at a later date. A cloud DVR service is included that will allow customers to store up to 100 hours of shows and movies for free if they subscribe to any of the T-Vision Live packages or for $5 a month if they subscribe to T-Mobile Vibe.

The service will work with Apple and Android devices, including the Amazon Fire TV platform. The company did not say if Roku devices would be supported at launch or in the future.

For customers who don’t have a streaming TV device, T-Mobile is offering a new Android TV dongle called the T-Vision Hub. The device runs Android TV and is compatible with apps from the Google Play Store. The company did not say how much the device would cost.
