Nearly a dozen ViacomCBS-programmed channels are now live on the streaming television service Hulu.

The channels are making their debut on the streaming service more than four months after the Walt Disney Company and ViacomCBS announced a carriage deal for the channels.

Starting Friday, nine ViacomCBS cable channels will join the Hulu with Live TV lineup. Those channels are BET, Comedy Central, CMT, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Paramount Network, TV Land and VH1.

The channels are available in Hulu with Live TV’s basic package, which costs $65 a month and offers ad-supported access to hundreds of TV shows and movies in Hulu’s on-demand content library.

Several other live channels, including BET Her, NickToons and MTV Classic, will be available to Hulu with Live TV subscribers as a separate add-on costing $8 a month at a later time.

The channels come after Disney and ViacomCBS negotiated a new carriage agreement concerning CBS-programmed networks that were already carried on the service, including local CBS stations, CBS Sports Network, Pop and Smithsonian Channel.

Viacom and CBS Corporation merged in 2019, and the combined company has started demanding carriage of its expanded portfolio of linear channels ever since.
