Live streaming television service Philo on Thursday announced a new curated library of classic shows airing across its channels.
The announcement was made on Thursday in connection with a new, limited-time feature that allows Philo users to watch classic television shows through a special “decolorized” grayscale filter.
“Philo’s engineers have decided to roll out a new feature to make our subscribers’ viewing experience just a little bit better,” a Philo spokesperson wrote in a statement.
Philo says the filter helps people “watch your favorite classic TV shows…the way they were intended to be watched — in black and white.”
The feature, called PhiloVision, is only available through the end of the day, but the curated classic television library will last a little longer.
Supported shows in the classic television library include:
- All in the Family (Get TV)
- The Andy Griffith Show (TV Land, Sundance)
- Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman (Hallmark Drama)
- Family Matters (TV One)
- Frasier (Hallmark Drama)
- Good Times (Get TV)
- Gunsmoke (TV Land)
- The Jeffersons (Starz)
- Little House on the Prairie (Hallmark Drama)
- Mama’s Family (Logo)
- Murder, She Wrote (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries)
- Sanford and Son (Get TV)
