Wallet-friendly live television streaming service Philo said viewers in the Tornado Alley states of Kansas and Oklahoma watched a recent broadcast of the 1996 film “Twister” more than any other state in the country.

The report, based on internal viewership data, also said viewers in Louisiana tuned in to the Lifetime original thriller “Safe Room” more than customers anywhere else.

The $25 a month streaming TV service contains live and on-demand programming from a handful of content partners, including Paramount Global (Comedy Central, BET, Nickelodeon); Discovery, Inc. (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, HGTV), AMC Networks (AMC, IFC, BBC America), A&E Networks (A&E, History Channel) and others. The service offers thousands of hours of replay content and on-demand movies and TV shows to complement its more than 60 linear cable networks.

Using internal viewership data, Philo provided a list of the top movie or TV show streamed in most states (except Alaska and Hawaii) for the week ending April 2nd. The data showed customers in America’s heartland were more likely to stream the popular children’s show SpongeBob Squarepants, while two of the country’s three most-populated states viewed RuPaul’s Drag Race on VH1 and Logo TV more than anything else on Philo.
