Comcast to raise price of AMC Plus subscription for Xfinity customers

Comcast says the price of AMC’s premium movie add-on is going up.

Starting in June, the cost of AMC Plus will increase to $9 a month for Xfinity video and Internet customers. The warning was made in a notification to customers via their monthly bills.

The company said the price increase was due to “changes in business costs.” It gave no additional specifics beyond that reason.

The price increase brings the cost in line with what AMC charges for AMC Plus directly from its website. The cost is also the same when customers subscribe to AMC Plus through the Roku Channel, Apple TV Plus or Amazon Prime Video Channels.

AMC Plus includes access to original programs aired on the AMC Network as well as sister channels IFC, We TV, BBC America and Sundance TV along with licensed television shows and movies. The service includes live streams of the AMC cable channel as well as some sister channels.
