Comcast’s NBC Universal has quietly added several local NBC News feeds to Xumo Play and Samsung TV Plus, The Desk has learned.

Ten linear feeds were added to the streaming services on Monday, including some local NBC News streams that were previously exclusive to the free, ad-supported service the Roku Channel. Other streams have been available on Comcast’s premium streaming service, Peacock, for more than a year.

The live streams added to Xumo Play and Samsung TV Plus include:

  • NBC Bay Area News (San Francisco)
  • NBC Boston News
  • NBC Connecticut News (Hartford)
  • NBC Dallas News
  • NBC Los Angeles News
  • NBC New York News
  • NBC Philadelphia News
  • NBC San Diego News
  • NBC South Florida News (Miami)
  • NBC Washington, D.C. News

The feeds include live local news broadcasts that are simulcast from NBC-owned television stations in those metropolitan areas, as well as breaking news and original local programming.

Both Samsung TV Plus and Xumo Play already offer national NBC News feeds, including NBC News Now and Today All Day.
