Streaming hardware maker Roku has promoted Jennifer Vaux to serve as the company’s vice president of content acquisition and programming.

The promotion will see Vaux elevated from her prior role as the senior director of content acquisition for the Roku Channel, Roku’s free, ad-supported television service and premium streaming marketplace.

During her time with Roku, Vaux was instrumental in securing original programming for Roku, including the integration of short-former content library Quibi and children’s video producer PocketWatch, and the development of the parody biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovich Story.” Vaux also helped secure the streaming rights to content from the Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) library; she previously worked at WBD’s predecessor, WarnerMedia, as the vice president of content acquisition and network business strategy.

Vaux’s promotion took effect this month. She has worked at Roku for more than five years, joining from WarnerMedia in November 2017. Her resume also includes roles at the Walt Disney Company’s Disney Interactive Studios and Disney-ABC Television Group, and at Comcast’s NBC Universal.
