Streaming cable replacement Vidgo has struck a deal with Sinclair Broadcast Group to make Tennis Channel available to subscribers, starting today.

The addition of the channel comes ahead of the BNP Paribas Open and the Miami Open tournaments, which are scheduled to begin later this month.

Vidgo’s streaming platform is a favorite for dyed-in-the-wool live sports fans,” Derek Mattsson, Vidgo’s CEO, said in a statement. “Tennis Channel is one of our most important additions to expand our lineup of live sports because it features some of the world’s best athletes, entertaining and thrilling fans for hours in what I believe is one of the most exciting spectator sports around. Tennis Channel is the perfect complement to our extensive sports lineup, and I can proudly say we are now the best sports streaming service with the best value overall.”

The channel builds on Vidgo’s strategy of bringing hard-to-find sports channels to cord-cutters who want college and professional football, basketball, hockey, motorsports and now tennis. Some channels, like the Longhorn Network, the SEC Network, the Big 10 Network and ESPN U, can be tough to find on other services, but Vidgo incorporates them into its base programming package, which starts at $65 a month.

“We’re pleased to work with Vidgo to make Tennis Channel available to their growing subscriber base,” Lee Schalzer, the senior vice president of distribution at Sinclair, said on Sunday. “As streaming options continue to rise in popularity, our goal remains the same: To bring Tennis Channel’s unrivaled coverage to people wherever they want to experience it. With two of the biggest tournaments in professional tennis taking place here in the United States in March, this couldn’t have happened at a better time for Vidgo customers.”

Vidgo’s programming is available to stream on all popular smartphones, tablets and smart TV platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV) and Apple TV, as well as through the Vidgo website.

The service offers more than 100 live channels of general entertainment, sports and cable news programming from Fox Corporation (Fox, Fox Sports, Fox News Channel, Fox Weather), the Walt Disney Company (ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, FX, National Geographic), A+E Networks (A&E, History Channel, Lifetime), Paramount Global (Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Paramount Network), and more, starting at $65 a month.

The service also offers sports-centric channels from Major League Baseball (MLB Network), the National Football League (NFL Network), the National Hockey League (NHL Network) and others. NFL RedZone is available in Vidgo Premium, which costs $80 a month and offers more than 150 live channels of programming.

The BNP Paribas Open tournament is scheduled to take place between March 8 and March 19, while the Miami Open tournament will air on Tennis Channel from March 21 to April 2.
