Dish Network’s streaming television service Sling Freestream passed a milestone this week when it surpassed 400 free linear channels of movies, TV shows, documentaries and lifestyle programming, all available without a subscription or even a credit card on file.
Sling TV has offered free, ad-supported streaming channels within its app for a few years now, but it wasn’t until February that the Sling TV team decided to create a unique brand around its free content, which also includes access to more than 41,000 movies and TV episodes.
The relaunch of Sling TV’s free offering to Sling Freestream indicates Dish is serious about building its free streaming television service into a standalone product that can draw viewers in with a unique curation of content that transcends genres spread across its more than 400 linear channels. Surprisingly, finding a guide that says exactly which channels are offered on Sling Freestream is impossible to come by — so The Desk went through each and every channel on Sling Freestream and make this handy list for cord-cutters and other streamers.
