Fox News Digital tops CNN in multi-platform views during July

Fox News Digital ended July as the most-viewed and most-watched digital news platform as measured by Comscore, according to new data shared with The Desk on Tuesday.

The brand, which includes the Fox News and Fox Business websites as well as associated branded social media profiles, ended July with 1.736 billion multi-platform total viewers, a year-over increase of 21 percent, and over 3.024 billion multi-platform total minutes, an increase of 7 percent.

By comparison, Comscore data showed CNN had around 1.079 billion multi-platform views, a 14 percent dip compared to July 2022, while seeing 1.676 billion multi-platform total minutes, a decrease of 24 percent.

Fox Business led with more multi-platform views across its website, apps and social media profiles, with 164 million multi-platform views during July, higher than CNN and Bloomberg. Comscore data showed Fox Business had 20.1 million multi-platform unique visitors that consumed 291 million multi-platform minutes during July, while data from Shareablee revealed Fox Business was the most-watched among the competitive set of business-oriented news brands on YouTube, amassing 54.4 million views.

Meanwhile, Fox News continued to dominate with engagement on social media across the competitive cable news set, with around 30.2 million social interactions, according to data from Emplifi. Across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (X), Fox News had more than 30 million social interactions for the month. Data from Shareablee showed Fox News videos on YouTube had over 150 million video views during July.
