Google’s streaming television service YouTube TV has quietly added several CW Network affiliates owned by Hearst Television, The Desk can confirm.
The stations went live on YouTube TV early Monday morning, and replaces a national network feed of Nexstar Media Group’s CW Network that has been offered since August in most markets.
The new CW Network affiliates available on YouTube TV as of Monday morning include:
- KCWE (Channel 29) in Kansas City
- KQCA (Channel 58) in Sacramento
- WCWG (Channel 20) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
- WKCF (Channel 18) in Orlando, Florida
- WNNE (Channel 31) in Burlington, Vermont
- WPXT (Channel 51) in Portland, Maine
In the Sacramento market, KQCA assumed the CW Network affiliation from KMAX-TV (Channel 31), a Paramount Global-owned station, as part of a network realignment that was announced late last year. KMAX and seven other Paramount-owned stations dropped CW Network programming in August and became full-time independents.
Many of Hearst’s other network affiliates are already carried on YouTube TV, including those that offer ABC, CBS and NBC programming. Hearst has no Fox network affiliates.
YouTube TV costs $73 per month and offers local broadcast stations and cable channels from a number of companies, including Sinclair Broadcast Group, AMC Networks, Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount Global, the Walt Disney Company, Fox Corporation and Comcast’s NBC Universal.
