Fox News Digital ended the first month of 2024 as the most-engaged news brand, with the highest amount of multi-platform views and minutes compared to its closest competitors, according to Comscore.
The designation continues a 35-month trend for Fox News Digital, which includes the websites of the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network and associated apps and social media accounts.
In January, Fox News Digital saw around 3.276 billion total multi-platform minutes, 1.662 billion total multi-platform views and 109.72 million multi-platform unique digital visitors, Comscore data showed.
Additionally, the Fox News mobile app had 6 million unique visitors in January, topping CNN’s mobile app for a second consecutive month.
Fox News was the most-engaged news brand across social media, with more than 22.3 million social interactions were logged across Fox News properties on social media, according to Emplifi. Data from Shareablee showed Fox News had 186 million video views in January.
The website of Fox Business saw 178 million multi-platform views in January, surpassing the websites of CNN Business and Bloomberg, according to Comscore. Videos syndicated from Fox Business to its YouTube channel saw nearly 60 million views in January, up 35 percent on a year-over basis, according to Shareablee.
On multi-platform total views, Fox News Digital’s 1.662 billion was 11 percent higher compared to December 2023. CNN saw 1.178 billion, unchanged from the prior month, while the New York Times saw 1.494 billion multi-platform total views, or 3 percent higher on compared to the prior month.
CNN saw higher growth in multi-platform total unique digital visitors with 112.754 million, or 7 percent higher compared to December 2023. Fox News still topped CNN with its 109.72 million multi-platform unique digital visitors, or 5 percent higher compared to the prior year. The New York Times saw 74.56 million total digital unique visitors, up 5 percent.
