The Walt Disney Company has finalized the integration of Hulu’s video on-demand catalog within Disney Plus, about a year after executives first affirmed those plans.
Television shows and movies from Hulu’s original series and licensed catalog are now accessible to subscribers within Disney Plus if they subscribe to the Disney Duo or Disney Trio bundle.
Hulu remains available as a separate app — meaning the integration is not a full merger of the two apps. Instead, it offers subscribers with access to both Disney Plus and Hulu a single app to watch content from both services.
Disney first integrated Hulu content within the Disney Plus app last December, offering most of Hulu’s popular titles and movies within a dedicated section of the service.
The Disney Duo bundle costs $10 per month or $100 per year with ads, and $20 per month or $200 per year without commercial interruptions. A version of the bundle that includes ESPN Plus costs $5 extra.
A version of Hulu that includes more than 70 live broadcast and cable channels remains exclusive to the Hulu app.
