First Look Media and Kino Lorber will merge their streaming service Topic into international TV platform MHz Choice this spring.

Starting April 1, subscribers of MHz Choice will get access to Topic’s library of crime dramas, supernatural thrillers, mysteries and documentaries as part of their subscription. MHz Choice charges $8 per month for access to their streaming TV platform, and an annual plan will have its price lowered to $80 per year, the streamer said.

“MHz Choice is now the ultimate destination for those who love international series, and especially European mysteries and Nordic noir,” Ed Carroll, the President of Kino Lorber Media Group, said in a statement.

When the two services merge, MHz Choice will become the exclusive streaming home of the German thriller “Babylon Berlin,” which was previously available on Netflix. The fourth season of the series will become available to stream on June 25.

“Babylon Berlin is one of the crown jewels of television, a period drama whose timeless themes transcend geography and language in the way shows like ‘A French Village,’ ‘Downton Abbey’ or ‘Mad Men” have all around the world,” Carroll continued. “We anticipate our subscribers will enjoy the early seasons of Babylon Berlin as well as the premiere of season four.”

Kino Lorber acquired MHz Networks in 2022, several years after a similarly-named television network was closed. MHz Choice was the sole product operated by MHz Networks at the time of its acquisition.

MHz Choice is widely available on streaming TV platforms, including Apple TV, Android TV (Google TV), Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Tizen and Microsoft’s Xbox One. Apps for most popular smartphones and tablets are also available.

MHz Choice can also be purchased as an add-on subscription via Amazon Prime Video Channels, Comcast Xfinity, YouTube Primetime Channels, YouTube TV, Cox Cable and The Roku Channel.

Foreign programs are streamed with their original audio soundtrack, and contain English subtitles.
