FreeCast has inked an agreement with OTT Studio that brings a new movie channel to its streaming television platform.
The channel, Free Movies Plus, joins a growing line-up of free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels available through the FreeCast platform, which unifies Internet-delivered and broadcast TV into a single, whole-home entertainment platform.
“We’re always looking to expand our offering with high quality content, and Free Movies Plus is a great fit for us,” Tracy West, the Executive Vice President of Digital Content at FreeCast, said in a statement. “The channel features classic, recognizable and popular movies from the past and present. It’s a channel with broad appeal that any of our users will be able to enjoy for hours.”
“Our channel and FreeCast’s service are both committed to providing free, accessible, and entertaining content,” James Patrick and Ryan James, the co-founders of OTT Studio, said on Monday. “This partnership will allow us to reach new audiences, and is a real win-win for both companies.”
Free Movies Plus offers a curated selection of the world’s best feature films from across genres, including action, comedy and more.
More than 500 linear content streams are available through the FreeCast app for televisions, phones and tablets, and a whole home streaming gateway that uses a white-label HD HomeRun brings broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC into the mix for a one-time purchase.
