Fox News Media’s digital brand Fox News Digital finished July as the top news brand in terms of multiplatform minutes and overall views, enjoying its best month across both data points since January 2021.

Fox News Digital — which includes the websites of the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, social media profiles and other digital properties — saw 3.9 billion total multiplatform minutes, 1.9 billion total multiplatform views and 119 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors, according to Comscore data.

Several news stories — including an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump and the withdrawal of incumbent President Joe Biden from this year’s race for the White House — drove higher interest in news content from Fox News Digital, CNN and the New York Times, with all three properties reporting a year-over increase across the three competitive metrics.

But it was Fox News Digital that mostly came out on top, beating the New York Times by 260 million multiplatform total views, according to The Desk‘s evaluation of Comscore data. Fox News also topped out with the most multiplatform total minutes, beating CNN by 1.6 billion multiplatform minutes, the data showed.

CNN had the highest number of total digital multiplatform unique visitors at 1.32 billion, just slightly edging out Fox News Digital in that category. That said, Fox News Digital had the highest year-over growth at 43 percent in that metric, compared to just 15 percent for CNN and 8 percent for the New York Times, according to Comscore data.

Fox News was also the most-engaged brand on social media, with 42 million social interactions, according to Emplifi. That marked a 39 percent gain on a year-over basis and a 59 percent increase on a sequential basis.

On Facebook, Fox News had more than 13.4 million interactions, while on Instagram, the brand drove more than 25.2 million interactions. On X (formerly Twitter), Fox News saw slightly more than 3 million interactions in July. YouTube continued to be one of Fox News’s best platforms, with more than 341.2 million video views — the most of any news brand, according to data from Shareablee.

Fox Business saw more than 167 million multiplatform views in July, according to Comscore data, surpassing CNN Business for the 28th straight month and Bloomberg for the 39th consecutive month, the network said in a statement on Monday. The business website drove 266 million multiplatform minutes and 26.7 million multiplatform unique visitors. On YouTube, Fox Business clips and content was the most-viewed among business news outlets, grabbing 73 million views in July, a sequential increase of 37 percent.

Fox News Digital is operated by Fox News Media, a subsidiary business of Fox Corporation.
