Former First Lady Melania Trump has agreed to a sit-down interview with the Fox News Channel’s Ainsley Earhardt, the network said on Monday.
The interview, scheduled to air on Thursday, will mark the former First Lady’s first TV interview in more than two years. She is expected to discuss her upcoming memoir, the Trump campaign’s strategy heading into Election Day in November, the two assassination attempts on her husband and other matters, Fox News said.
Earhardt is the co-host of the highly rated morning news and discussion program “Fox & Friends.” Former President Donald Trump spoke with the program following his participation in the ABC News Presidential Debate earlier this month. He has appeared on the news channel several times since clinching the presidential nomination for the Republican Party this summer.
Earhardt has interviewed Trump and other leading figures since joining Fox & Friends in 2016, including former Vice President Mike Pence and former Second Lady Karen Pence. She also covered the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II for the network two years ago.
The Fox News Channel is the highest-rated cable news outlet in the United States. The network is operated by Fox News Media, a division of Fox Corporation.
