Fox News Media is launching a Spanish-language news broadcast that will spotlight current events and political issues that impact the Hispanic community, the broadcaster announced on Tuesday.
Starting October 15, “Fox Noticias” will air weekday afternoons at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Fox Deportes, a sports channel that is co-owned by Fox Corporation. The program will be anchored by “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy.
Fox News Media is also rolling out a new Spanish-language version of its Fox News website. That portal launched today, and can be accessed at noticias.foxnews.com.
“As the leading cable news provider among Hispanic viewers with one of the most diverse audiences in cable news, we are proud to deliver new headline-driven content that focuses on the issues impacting the Hispanic community,” John Sylvester, the Senior Vice President at Fox News, said in a statement.
“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to host Fox Noticias,” Campos-Duffy added. “As the fastest growing electorate, accounting for nearly 20 percent of the population, the Hispanic American community is thriving, and I am proud to bring a new show that breaks down the news of the day with a focus on the kitchen table issues that matter most to our community.”
A spokesperson for Fox News Media said Fox Noticias will highlight the major news in politics, the economy, cultural trends and immigration. The debut episode on October 15 will feature an interview with newly-elected Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino.
In addition to news and current events, Fox Noticias will offer sports highlights that are helmed by talent from Fox Deportes. Clips from the show will be made available on the Fox Noticias website, the Fox Deportes app and on social media via X/Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram.
