Global electronics maker LG has partnered with Radioline to introduce a new free, ad-supported streaming audio service on its smart television sets.

The service, called LG Radio Plus (stylized as LG Radio+), is available on LG’s smart TVs in the United States and South Korea. LG Radio Plus ofers a curated selection of live stations and podcasts from CNN, Fox News Radio, NPR and Spotify, including “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the company said.

LG says the radio service is accessible through the TV’s Magic Remote or by searching for LG Radio Plus in the LG Content Store.

The launch of LG Radio Plus comes about a year after Edison Research found that nearly 7 percent of all time spent with audio takes place on Internet-connected TV sets, including smart TVs and older sets with streaming video devices.
