Fox Corporation has hired a long-time sales executive to serve as the vice president of its streaming sales and advertising initiatives for its local broadcast division, Fox Television Stations.
In a social media post on Monday, Nelson Ferreira announced his new role at Fox Television Stations, where he will serve as the Vice President of Streaming Sales. His job is based in New York City.
Ferreira has nearly three decades of sales experience: He joined Katz Media Group in 1998 as an account executive before moving over to Cox Media Group in 2009. He spent more than 10 years with Cox Media, ultimately becoming the Senior Director of Sales for Cox Digital Group, later called Gamut.
For the past two years and change, he worked for My Code, a multicultural digital media platform that empowered Hispanic, Black, LGBTQ and other communities through publishing and marketing initiatives.
In his new role, Ferreira will work with Fox Television Stations and its new business unit, called Fox Local Extension (FLX), which synergizes various Fox products across traditional and connected TV platforms to help advertisers reach over 150 premium-only curated networks. FLX says it reaches more than 92 million unique households with its various products, including local broadcast television.
