Amazon’s streaming marketplace Prime Video Channels has launched a new bundle offering that pairs the streaming services Starz and Max at a discounted price.
The Starz-Max bundle launched this week for $21 per month, and offers access to the ad-free tiers of both services. Typically, the ad-free Max plan costs $17 per month, while Starz is priced at $11 per month, for a combined price of $28 per month.
The bundle is available through Prime Video Channels on the Amazon website in the United States. Content from Starz and Max stream via the Prime Video app on phones, tablets and smart TVs when purchased through Prime Video Channels.
In addition to series like “Outlander,” “Game of Thrones,” “Power” and “The Penguin,” the bundle offers access to Starz and Max originals like “Sweetpea,” “The Pitt” and “Hacks.” Live events from TNT Sports — including professional basketball, hockey, baseball and college sports — is also available through Max on Prime Video Channels.
“We are thrilled to team with Prime Video and Max to deliver this new offering of critically acclaimed programming to an even broader customer base,” Alson Hoffman, the President of Starz, said in a statement. “Together, our world-class libraries provide an unparalleled viewing experience, offering a diverse selection of high-quality series and films across multiple genres.”
The bundle is the latest unique offering from Amazon and Prime Video. In the past, Amazon has offered bundles that pair AMC Plus with MGM Plus and Starz with AMC Plus.
In addition to Starz and Max, Prime Video Channels also offers subscriptions to Paramount Plus with Showtime, Apple TV Plus, Cinemax, Discovery Plus, BET Plus, Vix Premium, Britbox, Crunchyroll and others.
The Prime Video app also includes access to Prime Video and Freevee content with an active Amazon Prime membership.
