CNN to host town hall events with federal lawmakers this week

A town hall with Senator Bernie Sanders airs Wednesday, followed by a similar event with four members of Congress on Thursday.

CNN this week will host a town hall with a group of bipartisan federal lawmakers, the network announced on Monday.

The event, scheduled for Thursday, will be moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Kaitlan Collins, and will feature a live audience.

Representatives Mike Lawler of New York, Ryan Mackenzie of Pennsylvania, Jahana Hayes of Connecticut and Derek Tran of California are scheduled to participate in the event.

“CNN Town Hall: America Asks Congress” will air on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, with streaming coverage offered through the CNN website, CNN apps and on CNN Max.

The Thursday town hall will be preceded by one featuring Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, which will be moderated by CNN host Anderson Cooper on Wednesday, April 9 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

CNN is owned by Warner Bros Discovery.
