Salem Radio’s Hugh Hewitt joins Fox News as contributor

Salem Radio Network’s talk show host Hugh Hewitt is joining Fox News Media as an on-air contributor, the broadcaster announced on Friday.

In his new role, Hewitt will provide analysis across all Fox News Media platforms, including the Fox News Channel, where he will make his debut during “Special Report with Bret Baier” Friday evening.

Hewitt currently serve as the host of a self-titled radio program on Salem Radio Network, which simulcasts on the free streaming Salem News Channel.

He previously contributed to the Washington Post and now writes a column for the Washington Examiner. In politics, he served as an official in the Reagan administration, to include working as the Deputy Director and General Counsel of the Office of Personnel Management, General Counsel for the National Endowment for the Humanities, Assistant Counsel in the White House, and Special Assistant to two Attorneys General of the United States.

Hewitt has also served as a co-moderator of presidential debates hosted by NBC News and CNN in the past few yeras.
