Newsmax has renewed its distribution agreement with Verizon that will keep its cable news channel on Fios TV for a few more years.

The deal reached on Thursday will allow Newsmax to reach more than 3 million U.S. cable TV households in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast portions of the country.

Newsmax will maintain its channel number on Fios TV, where it is offered in high definition on Channel 616 and standard definition on Channel 116.

Verizon has been a valued partner since it launched Newsmax as a charter distributor, and we are glad to be extending our agreement with them,” Christopher Ruddy, the CEO of Newsmax, said in a statement.

“Verizon continues to be an important industry player that we feel provides a very popular, well-respected TV product that values diverse, independent voices in its TV channel lineup,” Andrew Biggers, the Senior Vice President of Distribution at Newsmax, said on Thursday.

Newsmax reaches more than 60 million U.S. households that subscribe to pay TV service, including both satellite brands — Dish Network and DirecTV — and streaming alternatives like YouTube TV, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream and Fubo. The channel will be added to Hulu with Live TV later this summer.
