Echostar’s streaming pay television service Sling TV now supports local broadcast TV stations from within its app when accessed on most Vizio-branded smart TVs.

Streamers who use their Sling TV service to watch national cable networks like ESPN, NFL Network, Fox Sports 1 and CNN can watch their local ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC stations by installing a TV antenna into the back of their Vizio smart TVs.

After performing a channel scan, the broadcast channels will be listed within the electronic program guide as Sling TV’s national cable channels, the companies affirmed.

“At Sling TV, we’re always looking for ways to simplify the viewing experience while delivering the best value in television,” Seth Van Sickel, the Senior Vice President of Product and Operations at Echostar, said in a statement. “This integration with Vizio allows our customers to effortlessly access their favorite local programming right alongside their Sling content, reinforcing our commitment to affordability, flexibility and ease of use.”

Sling TV starts at $46 per month for Sling Orange (includes ESPN) or Sling Blue (includes Fox News, Fox Sports and MSNBC). New customers who sign up for service by clicking or tapping this link can a $10 discount off Sling Orange or Sling Blue for their first month of service, plus a free month of AMC Plus.
